Bike and Park Chicago Offers Free Commuter Bikes
Thinking about biking to work but don’t own a bike? No Problem, borrow a Bike & Park bicycle for free!
Bike & Park, the operator of the McDonald’s Cycle Center in Millennium Park and the 53rd Street Bicycle Center in Hyde Park are proud to announce a new commuter bike initiative. Bike & Park will provide people interested in commuting by bicycle with a fully-stocked commuter bike to use for one week for free. The only stipulation is that anyone who takes the bike must pledge to ride it at least 3-5 times during the week that they the bicycle.
This program started at Bike & Park’s Santa Monica Bike Center this summer and has proven to be very popular for “Bike Curious” individuals who want to try cycle commuting before committing to purchasing a bike. Included with the free bike a one-week trial membership to the McDonald’s Cycle Center or 53rd St. Bicycle Center for those who need secure bike parking, lockers, showers, and towel service.
The commuter bike trial program will run from now until the end of December and then resume again in March 2013. Limited supply, first come first served basis.
