May 19, 2012Go to the delightful Clover Park on May 19 to celebrate Santa Monica! Enjoy music, dancing, fresh and local food, shopping for Earth-friendly goods, and enjoy the outdoors. The festival is a celebration with a purpose, highlighting the dynamic connection between the City's communities, businesses, art, culture and the environmnet while offering ideas and options for a greener, healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. You can valet park your bike there, as well, for free!

Santa Monica Classic 5K/10K Run
May 20, 2012Get some exercise for a great cause! Benefiting Heal the Bay, (the nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds, including Santa Monica Bay, safe, healthy and clean), the Santa Monica Classic is both a 5K and 10K event. The 5K starts at 7:30 AM and the 10K at 8:00 AM. For more information, click on the link below. Really, a 5K is a short 3.1 miles (maybe 30-45 minutes for most people) and a 10K 6.2. Go for it! It's for a great cause! If you aren't quite up to the run, but would like to help out, see the volunteer page. They still need more help.

12th Annual Los Angeles River Ride
June 10, 2012This June event actually has 6 different rides to choose from, from the Family and Kids ride to the Century, and supports the Los Angeles Bicycle Coalition, Eliya and Moms In Motion The L.A. River Ride is the signature event of Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, the only non-profit organization representing the over 3 million bicyclists in L.A. County, working county-wide to improve conditions for bicyclists while building community life in the area. Your participation makes a significant contribution to LACBC's efforts to complete the L.A. River Bikeway from the San Fernando Valley to Long Beach, and to make bicycling safe and enjoyable for everyone. There are 3 ways to register, and the early registration deadline is May 15.
